Splish Splash

Beckham LOVES his bathtime. He has been splashing like crazy, including drenching me! It just warms my heart and reminds me of the simple joys in life when I hear his laughter over kicking his feet or hearing his duck "quack". The smiles in the pictures are pretty much what we get every evening during bathtime. I just love my little guy and am so honored to be his mommy. We are going to start swimming lessons in January so I am hoping he loves the "big pool" as much as he loves his "little duck bath".

Como Zoo

Beckham made his first trip to Como Zoo about a month ago. I was freaking out feeling like we were going to be stuck inside for the next 9 months so we went on a little field trip. What a blessing that I only have to work part-time, it is so perfect and makes me excited for all of the fun things Beckham and I are going to get to do together.

My favorites were the sloth and the monkeys - as always. Beckham's favorite was the ducks. They were so loud and were swimming all over the place, he just stared in amazement. After posing for a few photos and having out first picnic lunch we decided we were freezing and went home. Why didn't we do this during the summer?

Apple Orchard

We had a wonderful October filled with precious family time. A few weeks ago we were able to go to the Apple Orchard one afternoon. On a side note, why is Minnesota so darn cold? It was one of the "nice" days but we still froze. Beckham was silent the whole time just taking in the new people, animals and the tractor (his favorite!) Dirk did a great job picking the apples for us and we all enjoyed a bite of a homemade donut before we left. It is hard to believe that next year Beckham will be running around!
