A Little Girl and an Apple

Today we went to Minnesota Harvest Apple Orchard. We just LOVE it there. It is not crazy with kids activities, crowds or commercialized. It is a hayride, apple trees and peaceful. Dirk would be greatly excited if they brought back their donuts, they are pretty amazing! We were fortunate enough that last minute Gramma Ghlee and Papa Bob were able to come with us.

Here are a few pictures taken of Evalyn. I did my best to capture a few shots from her perspective and also challenged myself today by only using my 50mm fixed lens. Let me know what you think!

I am took over 350 pictures while we were there so I will have more to share of Bubba soon. If you are looking for a great family day go to Minnesota Harvest, you will love it too!

The Harvest

This year Dirk built me a raised garden and the other night the kids and I harvested our first ever carrots! It was quite exciting and even more fun was putting the carrots in and out of the bowl. Yes, we enjoy the simple pleasures here at the Hanson house. It was a crazy windy night and I just felt God's peace blowing through my hair whispering, "I am here, I am powerful, I can do anything." God, I will wait...

A Bike Ride Kind of Night

It was a perfect night for a bike ride and a walk to check out the new playground equipment. As B says, "pretty soon Mama!" He has gotten to be a pro on his trike the last few weeks and I just love watching his long legs go around so fast. I played around with some different vintage washes on the photos so the color might not be consistent. Let me know what you think!

First Day of ECFE

Today was the kid's first day of ECFE. B is with the same teacher and a few friends from last year. E is in a Toddler Time with me. It was so much fun to see them loving all the songs and new toys. And for the first time ever I actually shot a few pictures before a meltdown. Back to School...pretty much makes me want to cry.

As promised

Here are a few of Bubbers exploding the water balloons all over himself. He loved it and I loved taking in his giggles and dimples. So far my favorite thing about being 2 1/2 is that B can express himself. He tells me everyday "I just love you so much Mommy!" Yes sweet soul, I love you so much too.

Sunset, Water Balloons & One Adorable Little Girl

We had such a fun simple summer night. Dirk filled up water balloons and the kids squeezed the until they were drenched. They were both full of giggles and God made a beautiful sunset for us. Take a look at this little honey, pictures of B tomorrow. Oh summer...I am going to miss you!

J Family Fun

I just LOVE this family. Which is fortunate because we practically share a backyard. They are the most easy going and peaceful family. We had a fun time playing at the beach, lounging by massive trees and feeding the fish. Well, except Garrett who ate his "fish food". I have been working on a special "princess chair" for all the little ladies in my life. What little girl doesn't want to feel adored and special?

I really feel like each family members personality was captured. Mom looking adoringly at her children, Dad with his huge smile, Caden with his sweet half smile, Alayna ALWAYS smiling and asking if she can take the princess chair to her house and finally Garrett just being a crazy little guy! Oh, I can't forget Baby #4 is coming in a few weeks so we had to sneak a few extra photos in of him/her. Thank you J Family for the wonderful exciting morning!
