Garden Photos Sessions

This year the kids did Garden Sessions with Jump Photography. Actually we missed the mini sessions so she met us the next day (that is a whole other story). Anyways, I just love how Beckham smiled for so many of the photos (yes we bribed him with M&Ms) and we got a few shots of the kids together.

He is totally going to be a heartbreaker someday. Dirk says he will hate me for the clothes I dress him in but I know his wife is going to think he is precious. I do.

Evalyn's 1 year photos

Photography by Nealy did Evalyn's 1 year pictures. It was a rainy morning and Evalyn was kind of a crab but Nealy did a great job of capturing our little girls personality. Now I just have to decide which ones to frame...

Obsessed

OK, besides being obsessed with my kids I am now obsessed with their black and white photos. The details of their delicate features and long lashes just jump out of the pictures. They just hold my heart these two...

Our Little Lady

We celebrated Evalyn with a ladybug birthday party. It was so much fun planning, decorating and making her little outfit. I am just loving our life right now and fully investing in our family. Here are some pictures from the celebration. It was so much fun catching up with friends and family while we enjoyed the perfect weather. 

 Evalyn's little ladybug outfit that I made. Beckham cried because he wanted ladybug shoes too! I will remind him of that when he is older.

 She loved her little doll and rocked her back and forth.

 Smashing the cake was a huge success. She loved the attention and the sweets!

At one Evalyn:

Walks around things and can walk holding one hand.

Eats and loves eating everything

Sleeps with and giggles to her blanket

buckles herself into strollers and high chairs

Adores her Daddy and Beckham 

Sings little songs to herself

Is obsessed with the water and loves splashing 

Pushes her walker and grocery cart

Wants to do what B is doing

Is itty bitty (almost 18 pounds and in 6% for weight)

Eats up attention for her cutness

Says: hi, bye-bye, up, down, dog, Dada, Mama, book, and done. She signs all done, more and milk. She knows all the actions to wheels on the bus and if you're happy and you know it. 

Is adored by all of us. God, thank you for my precious little girl.

Evalyn is one.


I just can't believe it! What a precious year we have had with adding her to our family. Her sweet spirit, joy of life and bright smile are etched forever on my heart. I mourn and celebrate my baby turning a year old. I will never again get to hold the tiny scrunchy baby on my shoulder or rock her for hours on end. I won't get to breathe in the baby smell and kiss her head as she sleeps in the ergo carrier. She will never be my little baby again.

I think that makes all moms sad.


But I also celebrate an amazing year and an incredible little girl. This weeks first blessings go to Evalyn.
