Love

Beloved Beckham…

Do you ever struggle for words to express the different degrees of love? I have heard many sermons on the different types of love and what each means and still feel that sometimes I feel things much deeper than any definition allows for. Maybe there should be a new definition for the love of a mother and her child(ren), the all consuming throbbing within the heart that says I LOVE you. I CHERISH you. I would and will do ANYTHING for you. Your SMILE brightens my heart and crushes any opposing mood. I could spend hours just staring at you as you PEACEFULLY SLEEP so unaware of the rest of the world.

I want to PROTECT you from all struggles yet show you how to handle hardship with grace, learning to depend on our powerful God.

I want to HOLD you close forever, feel your tiny heart beating and feel your sweet breath on my neck as you sleep, yet guide you as you grow to be a man, a husband, a father.

I want you to LOVE, LOVE, LOVE. To love life, love God and love others. To be generous with your heart, sharing your feelings and passions with others and to do this with humility.

I want you to LAUGH. To laugh at the small things and search out the beautiful and perfect in the hard times. I pray God fills your little life with abundant blessings and joy. May the light always shine from your eyes like it does now.

I want you to KNOW that I love you, that I would do anything for you, that I am so proud of you, that you are my precious miracle and you can’t ever do anything to change that. You are loved unconditionally and forever by your mommy.

Just some thoughts from a mommy in love…

Shoes

Katie, this one is for you my friend that is passionate about shoes. I hope Beckham's pass the cute test!

Big Boy

Beckham has been joining Dirk and I at the table in the Bumbo seat and the highchair! We tried it out for the first time this weekend and as you can see Beckham was pretty happy about it! Hey Colin, thanks for the sheep!

Look What I Found!

In the past few days Beckham has discovered his feet. He holds them while we change his diaper and as he's sitting down. Here are some cute photos of Beckham and his adorable little toes. Of course if his feet aren't in reach he can always just blow bubbles to pass the time. He's also sporting the onesie that I made him.

Annie's Shower

Precious Annie, practically family is having their first baby in a month. Baby Pope is so loved and prayed for already. Today I was able to celebrate beautiful Annie and her sweet baby with her family and close friends. It was my honor to take photos of this special time in her life. Annie, we love you so much and can't wait to hold little baby pope!

Just a glimpse into my day...

Here are some precious pictures of Beckham hanging out with Mom and Dad. Since I put him on a very strict schedule he has been such a happy and well rested little boy. Recently he started making dinosaur sounds...interesting.

Rice Cereal Please

What an exciting week for Beckham, his first haircut and his first bite of cereal! He didn't know how he felt about it but he did swallow some of it (the part that wasn't on his bib, face and hands).
