Billie in a Basket

For all of you who know and love Billie, yes she is in the laundry basket.

Perfect and Beautiful - Part 2

I just had to share some perfect and beautiful photos of my precious little Beckham. God restored hope through his birth and filled a new place in my heart.

Perfect and Beautiful

Perfect and Beautiful. These were the words spoken by a woman who has lost 9 babies and has no living children. A woman who loves and lives her life to the fullest, a woman who speaks truth, who is authentic with her faith, and who chose to share her 39th birthday, due date for her last baby and her sister's due date for her first born with us at the GRACE Conference. Her name is Judy Howard Peterson and she is the campus pastor at North Park Univeristy in Chicago.

Look for the perfect and beautiful were the words spoken to her as she gave birth to her first stillborn, a memory I can relate to. The nurse said that sometimes the perfect and beautiful are obvious, right in front of you and othertimes you have to search for them. As you can see from the posted photos of Briana we didn't have to look too far, everything about her was beautiful.

Pastor Judy also caused me to look at my faith in a new refreshing way, to image what and where I see God, he's always there but it may look different at times. I can see him crying with his arms wrapped around me as we were searching for Briana's heartbeat. I can see him cheering as she entered the world and jumping up and down as he showed us how beautiful and perfect he created her to be, and I see him still catching my tears as I write and remember my little girl. Have you ever noticed how good it feels to remember and to cry sometimes?

There were so many other truths I learned from her this past weekend and I'll be sharing. But before I end this posting here is something to think about, why not be that something perfect and beautiful for someone that may be searching for it. That is what Judy was to me this past weekend.

Beckham and Toren

My friend Jill, one of the gourmet kids brought over her little guy Toren a few weeks ago. The boys are just a few weeks apart and we had a great time hanging out. Toren tried the swing for the first time and smiled at the mobile the whole time, so cute! Aren't the boys so grown up sitting on the chair together? And yes, they are holding hands.

Grace Conference

Do you know someone who has struggled with infertility, miscarriages, stillbirth, infant loss or is considering adoption? If so the Grace Conference is taking place on April 25th. There are speakers on many topics and you can make appointments with specialists. There is a memorial dinner in honor of our children in Heaven to end out the day. If you are a therapist, social worker, nurse, or doctor there is credit available for attending. Dr. Collins is going to be there and speaking on the umbilical cord, he is amazing and brilliant. He is the physician that we worked with during my pregnancy with Beckham. To find out more info check out www.missinggrace.org. Hope to see you there!

Photo Wall

When Katie was here we put a vinyl saying up on the wall. Why didn't anyone tell me what a pain they are??? Luckily Katie was here and is an expert after putting up a few in her own home. The photos are ones that Sarah took of Beckham when he was 1 week old. It's in our front hall and our little tribute to our little man.

Bath Time and Best Friends

Katie was in town from Washington a few weeks ago and got to meet Beckham. The 3 of us spent an evening together and gave Beckham a bath. I am so blessed to have wonderful friends, the type of friends that go through everything with you. We don't get to spend a lot of time together so we cherish the times we are able to laugh, cry and just "be". I love you girls!
